About the artist:

Zelga Miller’s work are representations of people, but they are not intended to be portraits – rather a metaphor for something more universal. Figures act as a means to communicate, and the minimising of contact allows them to stand alone, to strike up an intimate conversation, to occupy their own subjective space. Miller’s intention is to express something of resilience, vulnerability and experience of the human condition – what lies beyond the initial impression, expression or simplicity of the scene.

Miller has completed a MFA in Fine Art and had exhibited internationally. She is currently a student with Turps Banana and is a mentor with Koestler Trust.
