With over 25 years in the design industry, Graham Black has held the position of Art Director for some of the biggest brands in publishing including The Economist, The Financial Times and The Observer.

In more recent years, Black has relocated to rural Cornwall and is inspired by the great pioneers of British abstraction who were similarly motivated by the Cornish Landscape. His work represents the myriad of textural complexities of the oversized stones, rocks and cliffs.

Black works with a semi-transparent film called Trugrain onto which he draws, paints and creates random textures which are exposed directly onto a screen. He is an elected member of Cornwall Crafts Association and is a senior lecturer in Illustration at Falmouth University.
