Vytenis Semanas: Story of Two Mountains

Vytenis Semenas received a BA (First Class Hons) in Illustration and Visual Arts. Since then, he has spent much time furthering his creative process and printmaking practices through assisting and apprenticeships undertaken at University Arts London, Royal Academy and Thames Side Studios. Semenas feels he has gained experience and knowledge of printmaking world and that has informed his work. He uses relief printmaking to express his ideas, feeling it gives ‘an edge’: a touch of realness to his subjects.

Semanas has been awarded the Creative Arts Festival Graduate Award, West Thames College in 2016, Thames-Side Print Studio New Graduate Prize in 2019 and the Royal Academy of Arts Fellowship in etching and relief printmaking techniques (2019-2021)
